A plane e .m wave is normally incident on a semi infinite dielectric. The standing wave ratio in the free space is 1.73 and there is an average rate of flow of energy in the z direction of 1 W/m2. Determine the relative permittivity of the dielectric, the maximum and minimum electric field intensities in medium 1 and the electric field intensity in medium 2.
