Consider two thick, concentric conducting shells that have radii as follows: Shell one has an inner radius of a and an outer radius of 2a. Shell two has an inner radius of 3a and an outer radius of 4a. The outer shell has a charge +Q and the inner shell is connected by a thin gold wire to ground (zero) potential.

(a) Determine the potential of each shell.

(b) Calculate the charge density on each of the conductor surfaces starting from the smallest radius and working outward.
