A 100kW,230V,shunt generator has Ra=0.05ohm and Rt=57.5ohmassume that htere is negligible voltage drop across the brushes. ifthe generator operates at rated voltage, calculate the following:
a) induced voltage at full load
b) induced voltage at half load
c) the generator has a total mechanical and core loss of1.8kW. calculate
1- the generator efficiency at full load
2- the horsepower output from the prime mover to drive the generator at this load
