Question: An electric field E = 5.4x105 N/C exists in an area where there is an alpha particle. The alpha particle consists of a Helium nucleus with a charge Q = +2e and a mass M = 6.64x10-27 kg.

Part A: Determine the force and acceleration for the alpha particle in this field. Will the particle accelerate in the direction of E or in the opposite direction?
