A ball with a mass of .25 kg is placed on top of a spring with a spring constant of 800. N/m. If the spring is compressed straight down .200 m from its equilibrium position:

A. Determine the elastic potential energy of the ball while it is on the compressed spring.

B. Determine how high the ball will launch in to the air when the spring is released.

C. Determine the speed of the ball when it is 2.0 m above its initial position on top of the spring.

D. If the ball launches to a maximum height of 4.2 m, how much work was done by non-conservative forces between launch and the apex?
