Question: Determine the best approach in working with the patient and the family for the below patient 45-year-old man was admitted into the hospital with dizziness, SOB, and severe abdominal pain through the ER. While running test the patient sustained a frontal lobe stroke and damage to the GI tract was also suspected. Most likely due to a blood clots. The Physician order a PPN placement for short-term use with a RDN nutrition consult with the possibility to transitioning to TPN or a PEG later. The RDN provided the family with the nutrition consult and they understood the nutrition approaches which would be utilized. However shortly after it was determined that the stroke was a hemorrhagic stroke in which the heparin caused the man to have additional damage to
