Problem 1:

The following loads are connected in parallel to a common 230/60o V, 50Hz, single-phase supply.

Z1 = (4.4 +j4.4) Ω

Z2 = (3.68 + k2.75) Ω

Z3 = (6.9 - j9.2) Ω

Using the complex notation:

a. Determine the apparent power of each load.

b. Determine the total apparent power, the total active power and total reactive power of the combined loads.

c. Draw and label the power triangle for the combined loads.

d. Determine the circuit power factor of the combined load.
