The speed of a 10HP, 230V, 1200 rpm separately excited DC motor is controlled by a 1-phase full-wave bridge converter. The rated armature current of the motor is 10 A. The armature resistance is 0.25 Ohm and the armature inductance is 10 mH. The AC supply voltage is 265 V (rms). The motor voltage constant K Phi = 0.18 V/rpm = 1.72 V.sec/rid. Assume that the motor current is continuous and tipple free. For a firing angle alpha = 30 degree and rated motor current, determine:

a) speed of the motor

b) motor torque

c) power input to the motor.
