Unless someone is willing to support your ideas, no matter what the circumstance, you will almost always have to accomplish getting others to share your vision to some extent before they would be willing to support your ideas.

Stakeholders should be made aware of the vision, and be provided an opportunity to provide input that would further refine the vision, while accomplishing stakeholder engagement.

The facility's mission and vision need to be incorporated to determine how well the vision for the planned program aligns with organizational goals and values. Once it has been determined that the desired program would be beneficial in helping to achieve the organization's mission and vision, the next step is to move forward with planning the project.

The method of communication to stakeholders would ideally be through a written strategic plan. The strategic plan would summarize the core objectives and goals, provide background information on the facility and its history, relay how the purpose of the proposed program aligns with the mission and vision of the facility, and outline the goals and strategies that will achieve stated objectives.

The strategic plan would also include appendixes containing pertinent information such as, staffing reports, financial reports, patient and community demographic data and analysis, facility patient utilization data, and reports projecting financial and patient outcome information. (Huber, 2014. pg. 335).

The written strategic plan would be provided to stakeholders and posted in an electronic format to ensure transparency and accessibility to internal and external parties. A goal of the communication process would be to identify individuals with a high level of enthusiasm and engagement, who express an interest in championing the cause. Having a champion ensures the plan does not lose momentum prior to being brought to fruition.
