A Carnot heat pump (refrigerator) operates between -7 and 29 degree C. It has an input power of 3.5kW. Determine (a) the coefficient of performance and (b) the heat supplied at 29 degree C, in kJ/s. (c) If an actual heat pump requires 10 kW of power input for the same temperatures and same heat supplied from -7 degree C, determine the actual COP and the actual heat rejected to the 29 degree C reservoir, in kJ/s.
