Chemical Reactor Cooling System. (Chapter 6) Design an internal cooling system for a chemical reactor. The reactor has a cylindrical shape 2 m in diameter is 14 m tall, and is well-insulated externally. The exothermic reaction releases 50 kW/m3 of reacting medium, and the reacting medium operates at 250°C. It has been experimentally determined that the heat transfer coefficient between the reacting medium and a heat transfer surface inside the reactor is 1700 W/m2 K. In designing the system, consider
(a) capital cost,
(b) operating and maintenance cost,
(c) how much volume is taken up by the cooling system, inside the reactor and the concomitant reduction in reactor production,
(d) availability of the removed heat for use outside the reactor,
(e) and choice of cooling medium.
Why Radio Waves Are Chosen For Close Range Transmission?
ON a three-state bus, ten FCT three-state buffers are driving ten FCT inputs and a 4.7kΩ pull-up resistor to 5V. Assuming that no other devices are driving the bus, estimate how long the bus signal remains at a valid logic level
Calculate the energy required to change the arrival time of a near earth object of mass 10,000 MT by a distance equal to the diameter of Earth using laser ablation. Assume an ejection velocity of the material at 10,000 m/sec.

Determine a sinusoidal expression for the resultant v_R=v_1+v_2 by finding the horizontal and vertical components. Determine the resultant v_R=v_1-v_2 using horizontal and vertical components.
A series circuit consists of a voltage source and four resistors (R1=1k-ohm; R2=30-ohm; R3=470-ohm; R4=2k-ohm). The resistor of 1k-ohm has a voltage of V1=3V across its terminals. a) Find the current out of the voltage source.

In Astable multivibrator (using OP-AMP) and Butterworth 2nd order filter(using OP-AMP)(both high pass & low pass filter), both positive and negative feedback are given. But in Astable mutivibrator positive feedback dominates
What is the use of the carry output in a parallel load counter If l have a 3 bit binary parallel load counter do l connectthe count input, and the outputs (Q) from the three flip flops
During four consecutive clock pulses, a sequence of four values of the x signal is applied. Derive a state table for the FSM that produces z = 1 when it detects that either the sequence 1001 or 0111 has been applied; otherwise, z = 0. After the fo..
Determine the peak voltage of the full-wave bridge rectifier, shown in Fig. 3.3a, assuming the diodes are ideal but have a forward voltage drop (offset voltage) of 0.7 V. The input voltage is 120 VAC.
A carousel, starting from rest, is brought to a full rotational speed of one revolution per 5.00 seconds. The angular acceleration during the process is 0.300 rad/s2. The radius of the carousel is 6.00 m.
