Assessment Description

Stage 1: Individual analysis

Week 6, out of class and online at date T.B.A.
Duration: Students will have a window of time to complete statistical analysis of data.
Topics assessed may include Weeks 1 to 4:
Week 1: Data, sampling methods and summarization
Week 2: Charts and descriptive statistics
Week 3: Probability and discrete probability distributions
Week 4: Continuous distributions
Week 5: Sampling distributions

Stage 2: Individual report

Students will be asked to analyse data in relation to topics from weeks 1 to 5 and individually write a report on the results. Topics are listed above.

Assessment Instructions
STARTS in Week 6 out of class and ends in Week 7 in class.
Require: laptop, calculator with square and square-root function, formulae sheet and statistical tables. Software such as Excel online, Tableau Public or Power BI can be used to produce results in class.
No sharing laptop notes and calculators during the assessment.
If a student is unable to sit this assessment, they are advised to use KapLink and submit a Special Consideration form within 72 hours of this assessment.
