Learning outcome 1: Describe the role and importance of creativity in early childhood.

For this assessment, you will need to:
• Read and research a range of current text and answer the following points in essay style
• Define creativity and describe its importance in early childhood.
• Identify and describe two theoretical approaches to creativity in young children
• Describe a range of strategies to support creativity in young children in the early childhood setting
Your assessment should show evidence that you have read widely on the topic beyond the supplied readings and texts. Your assessment must use correct referencing, in APA 7th Ed.
Assessment Event 2 - Observation, interpretation, analysis and planning.
Creativity & Play: Planning through the lens of creativity
For this assessment, you will need to:
• Choose one of the videos below,
• Write an Observation (Anecdotal Record),
• Interpret the observation through the lens of creativity and play in early childhood, linking to relevant creativity theorists and the EYLF.
• Plan one experience for the focus child/ren (i.e., Where to from here).
• Your planning will be based on extending children's creativity.
Assessment Event 3 - Creative Portfolio
• Answer the following.

What are the creative components of the resource? This includes any specific terminology, arts language, developmental stages, and theory, that connects to the resource.
