To demonstrate what you've learned about evaluating policies, programs, and reports in criminal justice over the course of the semester, find you a policy, program, or report from any point in criminal justice history in the U.S. or abroad.
Describe this policy, program, or report, describe the historical context in which it was enacted, describe the research that has been conducted to evaluate this policy/program/report, and finally provide your own opinion on how successful it was in accomplishing the original goals of the policy/program/report.
There are three parts to this paper. First, describe the police, program, or report that you are investigating, and in doing so, describe the context in which it occurred.
Second, describe the results of this program as evaluated by research. Third, provide your own take on the policy/program/report, rooting your opinion in both the initial motivations for it and in the evidence around its effectiveness.
1-2 pages should be spent on each section. Thus, the paper should be no less than 4 pages, but I encourage you to write more than this be longer, all double-spaced, in size 12 Times New Roman font.
To truly investigate a program, policy, or report in criminal justice, it is highly likely that you will need much more than four pages.
Papers should follow proper APA format . All in-text citations should follow proper APA citation formatting.
At the end of the paper, there should be a reference list following proper APA formatting . Please cite material from class (e.g., your textbook) as well as additional research material
