SCENARIO
You are the director of the Navajo Area Indian Health Service (NAIHS), and you are responsible for improving the delivery of care for obesity in the Navajo Nation town of Chinle, Arizona. This requires you to assess community needs, develop a process innovation, recruit allies, create a communication strategy, and create an implementation strategy for the process innovation.
You must create a community-based obesity prevention and treatment plan within your scope of service that involves leaders and also reflects a shared approach to ethnic and cultural needs.
Your process innovation proposal should summarize your findings about the health needs of the Chinle, Arizona, community; the process innovations best suited to addressing these needs; the alliances necessary for successful implementation; and the communication strategies necessary in implementing the plan. All of these elements should demonstrate sensitivity to the Navajo culture. The final product should be polished and professional in look and tone, as it will reflect both you and your organization.REQUIREMENTS
