Assignment:

QUESTION: Describe the pathway in a eukaryotic, somatic cell, from DNA to extracellularly secreted protein. Include detailed descriptions of each mechanism, process, location, molecules and potential outcome.

HINTS/INSTRUCTIONS: You will have one week to complete this essay. Be very specific. If you're looking for direction, review Figure 17.25 and Figure 18.6 Campbell Biology Pearson in your textbook for help on some of the components you may want to include. However, these figures are not all-inclusive (they can act as an outline for you, you will need more details). There is other important information to consider. This should just help point you in the right direction. Make sure to not only list each molecule and pathway but to define and describe them as well. Remember this is worth 55 points, which is ~33% of your grade on the final. Make sure you're including enough information to make it worth 55 points.

There is no length requirement, however if the essay is less than 2 pages, double-spaced, 12 pt font you are not including enough detail. The essay must be submitted BEFORE THE DEADLINE. I will not accept late submissions. If you do not submit an essay on that day you will earn a ZERO. No exceptions. You must turn it by submitting the essay over canvas. If this is an issue see me well before the due date.

This is open book, so use your text and any other reputable resources (not Wikipedia) you may need (except another person). This needs to be in your words only! DO NOT COPY AND PASTE! Any plagiarizing will result in a zero. Make sure if you use any references other than your notes or textbook to cite your reference.
