Assignment:

1. Identify and investigate one (1) male contemporary business leader from Australia that you admire.
2. Then analyze and assess if the leadership styles, attributes and influence tactics of your chosen leader is effective in his specific business situations, by answering Questions A to E, below.

Questions:

1. Introduction: describe briefly the leadership styles and attributes of the leader that you have chosen and his specific field(s) of business. (NB: remember that some leaders use different leadership styles to suit different situations)
2. Identify your leader's relevant source(s) of power. Does he also aim to empower his followers - and if so, how?
3. Analyse the influence tactics that your leader uses and assess if these skills are effective in building credibility and motivating his followers.
4. Rate the emotional intelligence (ability to manage emotions and behaviours, and manage our relationships with others) of your leader on the Likert scale below:
1 = Very low ability

2 = Moderately low ability

3 = Slightly low ability

4 = Neutral
