Final Project: focuses on instructional systems development (ISD).
The major course project requirement is to create an ISD Process Model that fits a specific context. This can be a context where you expect to work someday or where you are working now. There are four graded parts to this project: (1) a proposal-5 pts, (2) an update-5 pts, (3) your final ISD model with documentation-50 pts.
Deliverable #1: Project Proposal:
Describe the context you propose to use for developing your ISD Model. This includes describing the type of ID process you plan to focus on. (e.g., will this be developing course module? Professional development? Training?) When selecting a context, you should focus on a specific instructional development project.
Your proposal should include:
• Identify the context, including its components, and components of the system.
• Specify the audience of the instruction you're planning and other stakeholders within the system.
This should be no longer than one page. The goal is so I can provide feedback on whether your context looks feasible for this project.
Deliverable #2: Project Update:
Your update should include an update to your context description. This should include the goal of your instruction, objectives, and outline of the ISD process.
Deliverable #3: Presentation & Peer Critiques:
Each of you will be required to present your model to the class. You will each be assigned to fill out a critique of two of your colleagues.
These will be completed in class and passed on to the presenter.
Deliverable #4: Final ISD model with documentation:
The final project should include a visual representation of your ISD model and the documentation of your model.
Documentation for the model should specify various stages through which your instructional development project would progress and describe the development team or developer activities at each stage.
The documentation should include a general rationale and recommend tools, instruments, and procedures for each component of the model. Criteria for evaluation and emphasis placed on various elements in the report are specified in pages that follow.
