Problem
Part I: Gestalt Principles of Object Perception
Spend a day taking note of Gestalt principles of object perception as you take in your visual world. Discuss at least two Gestalt principles you learned in Unit 4 and how you observed each.
Part II: Depth Perception with One Eye
Close one eye for a couple of minutes and walk around and interact with the environment (pick up objects, try judging their distance and THEN reach, judge the size of things, etc.). Only do this in a safe environment where you can't hurt yourself or break anything - no driving!
1) Describe how removing this depth cue affects your ability to perceive depth and interact with objects in your environment (this isn't about the loss of visual field but rather ability to perceive depth and size). Get the instant assignment help.
2) What was lacking, and be sure to mention which monocular cues you were able to make use of to help you perceive depth?
3) Bring in information from your learning resources to support your explanation.
Part III: Pictorial Cues for Depth
Spend some time taking note of pictorial depth cues around you. Give at least a few examples of what you see, and which cues are responsible. Be sure to provide labels for the cues. Photos are encouraged. Remember to bring in concepts from your learning resources to support your thinking.
