Students will respond to the provided vignette by designing three intentional learning spaces as part of an inclusive, play-based curriculum. The scenario will describe children with diverse developmental needs, interests, and behaviours, and students will design learning spaces as if these children were part of their own early childhood classroom.

For each of the three children, students must provide a one-page lesson plan that demonstrates how the learning environment, materials, and educator interactions will extend the child's play, learning, and wellbeing.

Criteria:

C1. Application of child development knowledge and observation data to design play-based, inclusive learning spaces.

C2. Demonstration of intentional teaching and assessment strategies that extend children's learning and interests.

C3. Understanding of children's behaviours, interactions, and participation patterns within the environment.

C4. Assignment is formatted according to requirements and written clearly and cohesively. APA 7 referencing is used. Word limit is adhered to.
