After reading through from Act 1 - Act 3 (inclusive) , we understand that the exposition of a play is much like that of any other literary work: It exposes character relationships; conflict - both internal and external; inner conflicts, tension between characters that indeed lead to suspense (and the climax). Hence as a play we do not have narration per se but dialogue and behaviour informs the audiences of intent, tension, motivation and consequence and ultimately the dynamic of character revelation and relationship.
Analyze the following connections between characters by also pointing out their obvious character traits that would indicate and direct tension and conflict - ultimately propelling the plot forward.
Firstly provide what the relationship is;
Describe one character trait directly in connection to that specific relationship;
Provide one substantial quotation and be sure to give CONTEXT of quotation and cite properly.
Consequently examine the way this relationship has been constructed in order to provide the plot momentum and intrigue.
