Topic: The role of Information Systems in the Data Mining process

Information systems serve as a fundamental framework that enables organizations to effectively undertake the data mining process. Data mining is an essential technique utilized within the framework of information systems to extract valuable insights and patterns from extensive datasets. Information systems serve as the foundational infrastructure, offering the required tools and functionalities to support the complete data mining process, encompassing data storage, preprocessing, analysis, and decision support. By leveraging information systems, data miners are empowered to effectively explore and analyze data, ultimately deriving significant insights that enhance decision-making and drive improved business outcomes.

You should perform a literature survey on the role of Information Systems in the data mining process in order to identify the benefits and challenges. Based on your literature survey, you need to create and submit (1) an abstract (2 pages) in IEEE format and (2) a 5-10 mins video presentation explaining the abstract.
