Describe the Faraday magneto-optic effect. How can it be used for impressing information on a beam of light? A cylindrical rod of magneto-optic material, of length L with Verdet constant V at the wavelength of light to be used, is placed wholly within an N-turn solenoid, also of length L, so that the rod and solenoid axes are parallel. A beam of Iaser light, with power P watts, passes through the rod along its axis. The light entering the rod is linearly polarized in the vertical direction. The light emerging from the rod is passed through a polarization analyser whose acceptance direction is vertical, and then on to a photodiode which has a sensitivity of S amps watt-1.
A current ramp is applied to the solenoid, of the form:
i = kt
where i is the current at time t, and k is a constant. Assuming that optical losses are negligible for the arrangement, derive expressions for the amplitude and frequency of the AC component of the signal delivered by the photodiode.
(a) If a motor at the end of a transmission line has a reactance of 8 ohms per phase, what is the maximum power which the machine can develop, given that the sender voltage is 4kV and the induced voltage Eo is also 4kV.

3) What factors started the decline in the nuclear power industry, and what events essentially ended new construction of nuclear power plants 4) What are three advantages of using AC power over using DC power
Assume that γ and Z0 are given 2- A dc generator of voltage Vg and internal resistance Rg is connected to a lossy transmission line characterized by a resistance per unit length R and conductance per unit length G.
Explanation of the circuit: Two opamps on the top are the buffer amplifiers before and after sampler. Sampler is a JFET used as analog switch; its gate is driven by the narrow pulse train as specified above. There are two identical active lowpass ..
If the primary coil of a transformer has 200 turns and its secondary coil has 40 turns with the secondary coil having 25 A of current what is the current in the primary coil
The wave reflects from the speeder's car and returns to the police car, where its frequency is measured to be 322 Hz less than the emitted frequency. Calculate the speeder's speed with respect to the ground.
First, generate an array of 20 input random integers in the range between 0 to 30 and display. Then, sort the generated 20 random integer numbers in ascending order using "THE SELECTION SORT" method and display your sorted output data flow chart.
