Figure 1 depicts a simplified scheme for CDMA encoding and decoding. There are seven logical channels, all using DSSS with a spreading code of 7 bits. Assume that all sources are synchronized. If all seven sources transmit a data bit, in the form of a 7-bit sequence, the signals from all sources combine at the receiver so that two positive or two negative values reinforce and a positive and negative value cancel. To decode a given channel, the receiver multiplies the incoming composite signal by the spreading code for that channel, sums the result, and assigns binary 1 for a positive value and binary 0 for a negative value. 1) What are the spreading codes for the seven channels? 2) Determine the receiver output measurement for channel 1 and the bit value assigned. 3) Repeat the previous part for channel 2.
What is the bandwidth occupied by this signal, and the noise bandwidth of the receiver for this signal? Find the BER at the receiver output and the average time between errors.
1) Calculate the open circuit voltage VOC (ZL removed) (magnitude and phase angle) 2) Calculate the Thevenin Equivalent impedance ZTH for this circuit (magnitude and phase angle)
An input signal of 10V at 0o is applied to a parallel RLC circuit with resistor R = 100 , inductive reactance XL = 200 , and capacitive reactance XC = 200 . All three components are connected in parallel to the source.
Otherwise determine where any other states will go. Draw a transition tablebased on the state diagram. Design a combinational logic diagram using only NAND gates in addition to the flip flopsand BCD to seven segment display.
Find the intrinsic gain of an NMOS Transistor fabricated in a process for which kn'=200 uA/V^2 and V'A =20 V um. The transistor has a 0.5-um channel length and is operated at Vov=0.25 V. If a 2-mA/V transconductance is required, what must ID and W..
The frequencies of the tones are 100 Hz, 300 Hz, and 450 Hz. The sampling rate is 1 kHz. Describe a low pass, a band pass, and a high pass filter that could be used to detect the individual tones.
A solenoid consists of 400 turns per meter and carries a currentof .45 Amperes. A 20 turn coil is wrapped tightly around thecircumference of the solenoid. The ends of the solenoid areconnected to a 2 Ohm resistor.
Find the electric potential at point (0,0,z) resulting from a surface charge density ps existing on the z=0 plane from p = a to p = b. Assume V = 0 at an infinite point distance from the origin.
If one page of memory can store 25 lines of characters with each line con- taining 80 characters, how many pages of information are there in 3 GBs of memory
All of us know that an automatic iron box set at "silk" will get heated upto a particular value, and if it is set at "wool"' iron box will get heated upto a higher value. Draw a block diagram representing the control system.
At the point you can check a point or two on the V-I curve and confirm that the plot is equivalent to the linear plot in Part 1. Describe a specific measured point on the curve and what it represents.
A jet engine is modeled as a serial combination of a compressor, an adiabatic constant pressure combustor, and a turbine. Air (considered to have a variable specific heat) is compressed through a compression pressure ratio of 8.25:1
