Critically rationalise, evaluate and explain the current trends and research findings applicable to mobilisations and manual therapy.

Assessment format- This is a Literature Review.

Topic- ‘Critically analyse and evaluate the following approaches to manual therapy within the management and rehabilitation of the sporting athlete using an evidenced based approach:

a) Maitland b) Mulligan c) Soft tissue release techniques

How to do assignment:

1. Start with introduction, overview of athlete, pathology and brief description around 200 words with reference

2. Brief explanation of techniques with regarding to pathology/athlete and critical analysis techniques; 1 maitland 2 mulligan ( movement with mobilsation ) 3 soft tissue release ( myofascial release )

After that discussion which is most important part of assignment in which we need to compare and contrast each technique and provide a critical analysis .

We need to discuss all 3 rehabilitation techniques with proper reference. Followed by conclusion brief 3-4 sentences without reference. It is the writers view.

Expect conclusion all aspects should be explained with proper referencing and citation ( apa style ).

Remember this not a descriptive piece of work, you are not expected to write the full description of the techniques, you are EXPECTED to be able to compare and contrast the literature surrounding each techniques in relation to the current trend. You need explain the technique in regards to the injury.
