Assignment:

Modify the Fade program to produce the same behavior using digitalWrite()instead of analogWrite(). In other words, create your own PWM code, instead of using thebuilt-in PWM functionality provided by analogWrite(). This sounds simple, but takes someeffort to get working well. Hints: you will need to use a for() or while() loop in your code torealize this goal, together with a "time stamp" using the millis() function to specify the timeto hold at each brightness level. You will also need to play with the maximum time to holdthe ON and OFF states of the LED to avoid actuating the LED at a frequency that is eithertoo high for the LED circuit, or too slow resulting in visible pulsating of the light.
