Assessment Instructions
As part of this assessment you will be required to: demonstrate how you have met Standards 1-3 of the Registered Nurse Standards for Practice whilst completing your Nursing and Midwifery Degree.
This assessment addresses Standards for Practice 1-3, and Unit Learning Outcomes A, B, C, D.
The allocation of marks for this assessment: -
Assessment 1: Portfolio (Breakdown of marks)
This assessment requires you to demonstrate how you have met Standards 1-3 of the RN nurse Standard's for Practice whilst completing your Nursing and Midwifery Degree. Using the NMBA's template provided (Evidence Record - Self-directed continuing professional development for nurses and midwives), submit a completed template along with supporting documentation and reflection for each standard. This can include workplace training and learning or completion of learning from your Undergraduate Units as long as this can be outlined and supported with evidence.
The NMBA's CPD template must contain, dates, a brief description of the activity and description of the outcomes and number of hours spent in each activity (I hour of active learning equal to one hour of CPD).
The learning for each standard must be directly relevant to your practice as an RN.
Gibbs model of reflection must be used.
The reflection for each standard must reflect the value of the learning activity and how this learning or participation will have an effect on your practice as a newly qualified RN.
This assessment requires 500 words per reflection for each standard.
Comments : A separate reflection on each standard 1-3. Only the major headings to be reflected on using a Gibbs Reflective Module of how it will affect me as a future nurse.
