Describe the context where the action research takes place. This could be, for example, the scenario / simulated workplace in which you worked. The key functions of the workplace should be briefly mentioned.
Contain a statement of your research focus. This would explain where your research questions come from, the problem you intend to investigate, and the goals you want to achieve. You may also mention prior research studies you have read that are related to your action research study.
Detail the method(s) used. This part includes the procedures you used to collect data, types of data in your report, and justification of your used strategies.
Highlight the research findings /Outcome of new project outcome. This is the part in which you observe and reflect upon your practice. By analyzing the evidence, you have gathered, you will come to understand whether the initial problem has been solved or not, and what research you have yet to accomplish. suggest implications. You may discuss how the findings of your research will affect your future practice, or explain any new research plans you have that have been inspired by this report's action research.
You must discuss each of the following elements of your project: Abstract

Assessment - Group presentation and Individual Interview
Overview
The Professional Experience unit includes a focus on assisting students to develop their understanding of industry practice, through engagement with industry professionals as guest lecturers or facilitators/trainers, and with case-study and simulated work situations directly sourced from and relevant to industry settings. In this unit, the student learning experience is directed and managed through work experiences and academic engagement which is conducted online (virtually).
Group presentation: Students will form groups of four from their unit and present the final presentation on the case-study and simulated work assigned to them. This involves preparing responses to the problem statement, researching a solution for the problem statement, negotiation of the solution and implementing the solution to critically solve the problem statement. Students are required to submit the presentation slides. The group will be formed in Week 1 during the webinar. In this assessment students will work in a group to do the presentation.
Assessment Details
You are required to present 15 minutes group presentation on your experiences and learnings from your work placement. You are invited to draw upon your Learning Journal as well as other sources and references that may support your presentation and the related discussion. An individual interview will also be conducted in conjunction with your presentation to provide you with an opportunity to clarify and further reflect on some aspects of your work placement.
Your presentation should address the following questions:
1. What were the assumptions about the work environment which proved to be correct?
2. What were your assumptions about the work environment experiences which proved to be incorrect (if any) (discuss in detail why and how they were incorrect and what you have learnt from this)?
3. Brief the problem statement / gaps that has been identified in work environment
?
4. What were elements of good/best practice that was experienced in the host workplace?
5. What areas of the host workplace's practice could be improved and how? This needs to identified individually.
6. How did the team use negotiation and problem solving skills to agree upon a common area of improvement?
7. Describe the working environment and challenges of the contemporary IT professional based on your simulated work experience
8. Provide a critical analysis of your own level of preparedness for the world of the IT professional (what areas do you think you are strong in : what areas could be further developed and how?)
