Show that when a nucleus decays by decay, the totalenergy released is equal to (Mp -Md -2Me) where Mp and Md are the masses of the parentand daughter atoms (neutral), and Me is the mass of anelectron or positron.

Why is the electron mass doubled? Is this because it's accounting for the neutrino mass? Ithought neutrinos had negligible mass.
