Question 1.

A patient comes into the hospital complaining of having symptoms that looks like to be a streptococcal infection. When treated at the hospital it was determined the patient has streptococcus. However, after a 3-day hospital stay the patient is now infected with P. aeruginosa. How is this possible? How did this pattern of infection take place? Talk about the immune system and the reasoning behind the P. aeruginosa infection.

Question 2. Define what a biological vector is and a mechanical vector. Please give an example of each and how this can lead to someone being inflicted with a disease.
