Here are three main ideas for you to work from. Choose one of these. It is fine if some of your topics may overlap somewhat with the other categories. Just try to keep your focus on the main topic you have chosen.

Describe an event in which you felt that you experienced prejudice and or discrimination because of your color, culture, gender, age, religion or other area. How did you react? How do prejudice and stereotypes operate, and how can they be overcome? What does the research say?

• 2. Violence & Aggression: Do you think the world is more or less violent now than in the past? What effect do weapons, and the media have on aggression according to Baumeister and Bushman (2016) and other research? Do protests and marches make a positive or a negative difference in fighting for a cause? What does the research say? What is the best way to end violence and support a cause?

• 3. We have seen reports that COVID-19 is causing an increase in mental health related problems, mostly due to fear, the illness itself, and social distancing from our loved ones. What if any effect is the social distancing of COVID-19 having on our current relationships and personalities? What does the research say? What if any effect has COVID-19 had on you and your family and or other relationships? How does the research suggest that we prevent and overcome the negative effects of the pandemic?
