By this point in the pandemic, we know that people of color are disproportionately affected by COVID-19. Stated plainly, African Americans and Latinx people are overrepresented among those who get COVID and pass away from it. Explain this fact using a systemic racism framework.

Make sure you 1) define and summarize systemic racism; and 2) use this lens to explain the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on communities of color.

You may choose to focus on the African American community, the Latinx community, or another minoritized population.
