SLP Assignment

An unknown person has undertaken an ongoing series of "lone wolf" shootings and IED attacks in Bronx, NY, targeting federal law enforcement offices and their personnel.

You are a newly hired Intelligence Analyst with the Department of Homeland Security, and your supervisor asked you to develop a detailed account pertaining to the ongoing "lone wolf" attacks in the Bronx. Your introduction in your notebook will cover the following:

Question 1. Define a "lone wolf' terrorist and describe which Federal agencies would play a role in locating and apprehending these attackers.

Question 2. Explain why "lone wolf" terrorists (domestic and foreign) represent a unique challenge to DHS and to the U.S. Government in terms of detection and apprehension, as well as why "lone wolves" are able to potentially inflict significant harm within the United States.
