DATA COLLECTION FOR RESEARCH REPORT
Click on the Allocation to condition link on the Learnonline site to find out which condition you have been assigned. You must complete the tasks under the conditions specified for your condition. If you do NOT regularly use social networking (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc) please complete the tasks under Control conditions.
• Control Group
o Complete the cognitive tasks while paying full attention to them (DO NOT multitask - i.e., no Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
• Multitasking group
o Complete the cognitive tasks while multitasking on a DIFFERENT DEVICE to the one you are using to complete the cognitive tests & chapter reading (using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc the way you normally would whilst studying)
Regardless of which group you are in, you should complete the tasks (cognitive tests, chapter reading & quiz) as your HOMEWORK for Cognitive Psychology. That is, you should complete it at the time and place where you would normally complete your homework.

2. Click on the following link to access an online version of Chapter 10 (Visual Imagery) via the eReader
a. Read the chapter under your allocated conditions. Once you have finished reading the chapter, close down all windows. Participants in ALL conditions should perform the next part of the task under IDEAL CONDITIONS (shut down all other software/devices and focus all your attention on the Quiz).
b. Select Chapter 10, then click on the Tutorial Quiz link, select show all questions on one page. Answer the multiple choice questions and record your number correct in the table below. Name of test
