Something unique about Nike is that they allow their customers to interact and engage with not only them, but to others' as well, on their website. These engagements are mainly runners. This is great because a lot of Nike's marketing is geared towards individuals that are runner or anyone that does some type of endurance type sport. The Nike brand is build around the everyday lifestyle of its customer base. Therefore, Nike creates and will continue to create shoes that are compatible with the lifestyle of their market. The company and companies similar stay relevant by sponsoring sports member to be a brand of their product. Nike takes into consideration the needs and wants of their customers. They listen to everything that they are saying. Wherever there needs to be change, they make it. They initially got their information from focus groups. However, they thought it would be better to listen from word-of-mouth from their customers directly. Comparing Nike to Uber, due to Nike listening to their customers promotes customer retention. Customers will support Nike whether they need shoes or not. Simply because they listen and create products that the customers want. Uber on the other hand. Uber doesn't take.
