In a little more than 3 years ensuring customer satisfaction through my customer service related positions, I have a proven track record of achieving results that can help ABC’s success. Some of my success came with the following: • 2 years of experience as a volunteer cashier/service assistant for the Loma Alta Recreational Center. I accurately gave information to visitors, listened and responded to customers’ needs and concerns, and handled billings and payments. • Provided support for the 2008 UNCF Walk for Education office staff by assisting over 1,000 participants with the registration process for the walk. • Made over 8,000 phone calls and spoke to about 2,240 people in-person as a campaign intern helping vote counts go up by more than 2,000. While volunteering at the Loma Alta Recreational Center, I demonstrated excellent customer service by reducing call time by 25 percent. I regularly answered phone calls regarding the different activities that the center offered. Because of my dedication to the position, I was even offered a part time job. However, I did not accept the job because I relocated from Pasadena to Sacramento. While volunteering at the UNCF Walk for Education, I was one of the few guides that gave detailed instructions on how to register for the walk. I also answered phone calls regarding information and donations for the walk. With this help, there were nearly 2,200 walkers registered and nearly $250,000 in donations received. After moving to Sacramento, I found a part time job but eventually left to focus on academics and athletics, which explains my unemployment gap between July 2010 and April 2012.
