1) Review and critically discuss, "The great transportation conspiracy."  Your answer should be based on a review of the reading by Jonathan Kwitny, "The great transportation conspiracy: A juggernaut named desire."  You should also include information from the lecture on transportation and the video, "Taken for a Ride."

2) Review and critically discuss the problem of "deindustrialization."  Your answer should be based on a review of the reading by Christopher Swope, "Smart Decline." You should also include information from the lecture on deindustrialization and the video, "Roger and Me."

3) Review and critically discuss the problem of "inequality." Your answer should be based on a review of the reading by Joseph Stiglitz, "OF THE 1%, BY THE 1%, FOR THE 1%."  You should also include information from the lecture on inequality and the youtube videos, ("Wealth Inequality in America" and "Wealth Gap: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver".

4) Review and critically discuss the problem of the U.S. "Military-Industrial complex."  Your answer should be based on a review of the reading by Brad Plumer and the article, "Ban Nuclear Weapons Now."  You should also include information from the lecture and video, "Why we fight."
