Assessment - Data Analysis (Exploratory) -Individual Report -1,000 words report (+ 10%).
Purpose: The purpose of this assessment is to assess the student's ability to utilise various analytical tools and critically perform descriptive and exploratory analysis using the chosen dataset in the context of the specific industry/enterprise and identify opportunities for growth, possible threats, hidden pattern relationships This assessment relates to learning outcome a, b c and d.
Topic: Exploratory / Descriptive Data Analysis
Task Details:
Based on the data recorded in the data repository (as a function of Assessment 1) and using other appropriate data, supported by quality sources, students will critically analyse the total enterprise ecosystem of the industry sponsor identifying opportunities for growth and possible threats to the enterprise. All identified opportunities and threats must be supported by robust data driven evidence.
Once the opportunities and thrLts have been identified, students are then required to investigate the data they have created and conduct multiple scenarios analysis regarding possible outcomes for the chosen enterprise. It is these outcomes (supported by evidence) that are delivered as data to support leadership decision making.
Data driven multiple scenarios analysis derived from and supported by the data repository 1000-word report outlining all analytical findings based on the narrative derived from the data sources outlining opportunities and threats for the chosen industry/enterprise.
The suggested structure:
1. Cover page (including report title, name and student ID)
2. Description of industry/enterprise, opportunities and growth
3. Chosen data description
4. Chosen Software or tool description
5. Discussion on the Analytical findings (Descriptive and Exploratory)
6. Justification of proposed analysis in the context of industry/enterprise, opportunities and growth
7. Relevant Research or case study
8. Bibliography
