Homework: Introduction to Applied Project in Psychology

You selected a specialty field of interest through chapter readings and discussions. This week you reviewed and discussed the areas of psychology research.

In this homework, you will begin the steps of your applied project by first researching your specialty area of interest. Through this research of problems relevant to your selected field, you will provide your own hypothesis of a problem to be solved and describe the importance of the need for this project. This homework serves as the introduction to your applied project, on which you will build in the subsequent weeks.

Select a practice-oriented field-specialty area.

Find 8 to10 peer-reviewed articles in the University Library relevant to your selected field.

Write a 1,050 to 1,400 words introduction to your project.

Include the following:

1) Create your problem statement based on your research.

2) Describe the problem.

3) Explain the rationale of your problem statement and the importance of and need for your project.

4) Describe your audience.

5) Provide a description of the audience or organization, institution, or policy that your problem statement is designed to help and the aim or solution you seek to achieve.
