ASSIGNMENT
You work for Rockville Auto Sales and have been asked to aid in the development of a spreadsheet to manage sales and inventory information.
1. You are to create an Access database for Rockville Auto Sales to keep track of vehicles sold, list of sales personnel, and number of cars each sales person sold in the first quarter. For each car sold, you will include its sticker price, its actual sales price and the sales person responsible for selling it. For each sales person, include a field indicating whether they volunteer in their community. The data for the creation of the database is listed in the attachment. (The data file is attached to this assignment).
You are to create the Access database based on the concepts you learned in the previous Access assignments. Use your own formatting and style.
2. For tax purposes, the accounting department needs you to calculate the number of vehicles sold, the total value of sticker prices, and actual sales price for vehicles sold in the first quarter.
You are to create a query in Access to include the necessary information. You will export the table resulting from this query to an Excel spreadsheet based on the concepts you learned in the previous Excel and Access assignments. Use your own formatting and style.
3. The manager of Rockville Auto Sales has asked you to create a PowerPoint presentation for the sales staff to value the importance of volunteering in the community. Your manager feels that sales people who volunteer in their communities have more understanding of the needs of people and will make better sales personnel. In addition, volunteering in the community helps promote Rockville Auto Sales. She feels that people will want to buy cars from a company that is involved in neighborhood issues.
You are to create the PowerPoint presentation based on the concepts you learned in the previous PowerPoint assignments. Use your own formatting and style. You may use Excel tables inserted in some PowerPoint slides.
