Milestone 1: Identify Prospective Small Businesses
For your final project in this course, you will choose a small business for which you will complete a Business Intelligence Analysis Report. You will be working on this project report throughout the course, so it is important to begin thinking early about possible businesses you may want to analyze for your project. Take some time now to familiarize yourself with the project requirements early.

Milestone 2: Industry Analysis Report, Interview Questionnaire, and Meeting Agenda
For this milestone, you will narrow your focus and identify a single business client for your Business Intelligence Analysis Report. To gather some of the information needed to complete this project report, you will perform some industry research and prepare to interview a business client contact in Module 3.

Milestone 3: Interview

In this milestone, you will conduct an interview with your business client contact from the small business that you are focusing on for the final project. This interview will help you narrow the scope of the BI systems you can recommend for your final project, based on time and resource constraints. Since only the most key performance indicators (KPIs) should be discussed, the meeting should identify the scope of the project by noting what KPIs the project will address.

Milestone 4: SWOT Analysis

Throughout this course, you have been researching and gathering the information needed to complete your final project. So far in previous milestones, you have identified pressing business needs. Now it is time to start analyzing the information you have been collecting and define the scope of a project by addressing the issue, assess what data must be gathered to support the project, and identify the requirements that the business must address in order to remain competitive in its industry.

Milestone 5: KPI Dashboard
In this milestone, you will create some visualization mock-ups of the key performance indicators as graphs, pie charts, bar charts, trend lines, and so forth. Also, the culmination of all the KPI visualizations should be formatted in some type of dashboard layout that visually shows conceptually the business real-time performance in key areas at a glance.

Final Project: Business Intelligence Analysis Report
For your final project in this course, you will choose a small business for which you will complete a Business Intelligence Project Report. You will apply the skills and knowledge you have gained throughout the course to identify and display the key performance indicators in such a way that it facilitates data-driven business decisions.
