School of computing case
Scenario

Students at Weatherfield University School of Computing are, at any one instance in time, enrolled on an award. The school has around 50 modules. An award is made up of either 12 or 16 modules. Between six and eight are core modules (depending on the particular award), the remainder of the award is constituted from a number of specified "elective" modules which students choose (to make up their award).
Each module is taught by one or more members of academic staff, one being designated the "Module Leader" responsible for organising the teaching team, planning the teaching schedule, etc. A module also has a "Moderator" who is responsible for assuring the quality of module; a member of staff cannot be both the Leader and Moderator for a particular module.
Academic staff are one of the following: Lecturer 1, Lecturer 2, Senior Lecturer, Principal Lecturer or Reader, Professor. There is also a dean who is the school head, reporting to him are four Principal Lecturers and all other academic staff report to one of these Principal Lecturers, with the exception of Professors who report directly to the Dean.
