Scope To provide a graduate level Auditing and Assurance Services case study to set apart the graduate level course from an undergraduate course

Activity Provide an analysis of Earthware financial statement audit.

Now that you have audited Earth Wear you must present the results to the Board of Directors. This will require analysis of the audit report and a clear presentation.

Rubric The following Rubric elements must be completed to prove an understanding of financial analysis, root issues, management concepts, and strategic planning. This is accomplished through an overview of the Earthwear Audit.

Submit an analysis paper with an associated PowerPoint presentation, using professional language and discussion suitable for the Earthwear Board of Director's meeting and containing, at a minimum, the following elements (see rubric below):

Written Presentation and APA The paper and PowerPoint presentation will be a graduate level business presentation.

Financial Ratio Analysis Discuss six of the eleven ratios given, at least one from each group (see textbook).

Root Issues The root issues of market share, customer satisfaction, desirable / popular product lines, and corporate viability must be addressed. Additional issues can be addressed.

Management Concepts The issues of market share, customer satisfaction, popular product lines, and corporate viability must be addressed with possible solutions presented to resolve the existing issues (Board of Director decisions).

Strategic Planning The following items must be addressed:

Trends Discuss income, expenses, earnings per share, and other significant items as deemed appropriate .

Forecast of future issues Discuss initiatives to:

• Protect and gain market share
• Improve customer satisfaction
• Expand product lines
• Strategic planning, i.e., 5 year plan
• Other appropriate items to support board strategic decisions

Provide a summary of Earthwear operations and strategic plans to maintain corporate viability.
