The aim of this assignment is to empower MAB students to create a robust and feasible research proposal in their respective areas of specialization. By undertaking this assignment, students will be able to delve into a topic of interest, critically analyze pertinent literature, identify gaps in the existing knowledge, and formulate a methodology for their own investigation. The assignment seeks to improve students' abilities in project planning, literature review, research design, and proposal writing, while simultaneously fostering a deeper understanding of the research process within their chosen field of expertise.

Assignment Instructions

Using the knowledge, you gathered in the research methods class, tutorials, and from the recommended textbooks, develop a research proposal for a master's level project within your area of specialisation. Your research proposal should include the following elements. The proposal must not exceed 4,000 words.

Title: Provide a concise and descriptive title for your research project.

Introduction: This section is a description of what you plan to do, and why. Therefore, you need to define and formulate your research questions/objectives addressing a research problem (gaps) to proceed with the project. You should provide a contextual backdrop for the research questions. It is crucial to ensure that this section is strongly supported by a thorough review of highly relevant literature.
