Question: Create a program (redesign an existing one to fit our area) that is intended to prevent either juvenile (delinquent) or adult (criminal) behavior. This is intended to stop the behavior from happening at all or to assist individuals to change/quit their chosen behavior.
Example: Most delinquent behavior happens between the hours of 3 pm - 6 pm, which is after school and before parents get home. If I wanted to prevent (pick one...) loitering outside stores, stealing from said stores (gum, candy, drinks), or harassing behavior of the homeless (or another population) then I might choose to create an after-school program.
The intent would be to give juveniles an alternative place to hang out with maybe one or more activities to participate in. The outline is to get you to think of the broad concept of creating a program with the intent for you to see how much work, money, effort, and people it takes to tackle social problems. The completed project will correct any comments that I give you on the module 4 outline. Module 5 will include very specific details built off of the outline such as cost - break it down = insurance, payroll, rent, electric (anything that would cost you money.)
