There are several hormones that participate in the controlling of blood pressure. They include antidiuretic hormone, norepinephrine, epinephrine, and atrial natriuretic peptide (Wingerd, 2014, p. 321). Atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) is secreted by the atria of the heart in response to increase blood volume (Wingerd, 2014, p. 321). Contrast the effects of ANP and antidiuretic hormone.
