Branflake Airways flew 135 flights and was late 78 times. Flying Armadillo Airlines flew 94 flights and was late 35 times. Air Idaho flew 115 flights, with 51 late arrivals.
a. Construct a cross-tabulation table (that shows both percentage and raw numbers of observations) by hand or in Microsoft Word to represent these data.
b. Explain what the table shows.
c. You want to conduct a chi-square test to examine a possible relationship between airline and late/on-time arrival. State your null and alternative hypotheses.
d. You conduct a chi-square test and get a chi-square of 10.14 with a p-value of .003. Interpret this finding.

The given bivariate data are displayed in the form of two way table, called a contingency table or cross tabulation table. One characteristic of on time arrival of the charted planes varies along the one column and other characteristics of late arrival varies along the other column.
