Think about any of the forms of lateral capability you may have experienced. For example, how would you assess your own professional network?

Conduct your own "organizational network analysis." Using a job you currently have, a past job, or even a school situation, briefly provide background to the context you are using as an example.
Identify your top 3 - 5 collaborators you use in your own department. If you are using a school example, identify students in your major (concentration). You can use 1) initials instead of full names or 2) a job title (which ever you feel most comfortable).
Identify 3 - 5 people who work in other divisions. If you are using a school example, identify students in other majors (or concentration) than your major (or concentration).
