Presentation
At this point, the patient's assessment is addressed. It involves obtaining results from standardized and non-standardized tests that allow us to recognize those errors and those areas that are most deficient and most damaged. In the same way, it will provide us with information about the strong points and the aspects that are best preserved, which will be the starting points for subsequent intervention.
Competencies/objectives
The objectives of this activity are as follows:
Know the wide range of batteries and tests that can be used during the evaluation.
Promote the ability to analyze results after the assessment.
Generate knowledge about assessment, beyond tests.
Development
Once the first data collection has been carried out through the anamnesis, together with the family, it is time to individually assess the patient. To do this, some of the tests used in Ursula's case have been shown in the videos.
The task to be performed will be the following:
Conduct a search for all the standardized and non-standardized tests and batteries that could be used to assess Ursula. To do this, you must take into account the person's profile, which can be inferred from the report, the anamnesis and the assessment that has been carried out. All of this is found in the appendices. Remember that you do not have to use all the existing batteries and that not all of them are valid according to the person's profile (take into account their cognitive state).
Some of the most commonly used tests are: BETA battery, TFV, ENFEN or TOKEN TEST, among others.
On the other hand, taking as a reference the initial BETA battery of 2022 and the subsequent one of 2023, a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the results must be carried out. This will allow us to know the starting points of the intervention. At a quantitative level, it will be necessary to know within the parameters that it is found and if it is within the normal range according to the scales and at a qualitative level, to analyze the response ratio, if it has needed any kind of help for the response, in which items it has greater ease...
Finally, five relevant aspects should be mentioned to be taken into account during the evaluation. The following is an example: the evaluation process should be dynamic, therapeutic and interactive.
Instructions
In order to carry out this activity correctly, a search and collection of evidence must be carried out on the Internet and in publishers. Subsequently, the appendices must be accessed to analyse the results and finally, the aspects that favour the evaluation to develop in the right direction must be named.
Evaluation criteria
The following aspects will be considered:
Search capability.
Presentation of tests in a specific order chosen by the student (depending on what they assess, their daily use, their length, etc.)
Analytical capacity.
Planning skills and knowledge of evaluation.
