A certain peculiar spring is found not to conform to Hooke's Law. The force it exerts when stretched a distance x is found to have magnitude 52.8 x + 38.4 x2 in the direction opposite the stretch. Compute the work done in stretching the spring from x = 0.5 m to x = 1.0 m.
